Honored for his commitment to advancing justice through volunteer legal advocacy.
Whether he's representing an injury client or volunteering his time to someone in need, he approaches every case with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help.”— Attorney Steve CayaSUN PRAIRIE, WI, UNITED STATES, July 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Nowlan Injury Law is pleased to announce that Attorney Evan Tenebruso has been certified for membership in the State Bar of Wisconsin's Pro Bono Honor Society, an acknowledgment of his dedication to offering free legal assistance to individuals and families who need it.
The Pro Bono Honor Society honors Wisconsin attorneys who log at least 50 hours of qualifying pro bono legal work over the course of the year. For Tenebruso, this recognition reflects a commitment he has maintained for much of his legal career.
"About a decade ago, when I was employed by a different firm, my mentor, Cathy Rottier—now retired—told me that every Wisconsin lawyer should aim to donate at least 50 hours of pro bono service annually," Tenebruso said. "I have made that a priority ever since. Reaching that goal again last year was an honor."
Throughout his career, Tenebruso has given his time and legal knowledge to assist some of Wisconsin’s most at-risk residents through a range of pro bono initiatives. His volunteer work has included representing clients with limited financial means in federal trials at the request of judges from the U.S. District Court in Madison, aiding survivors of domestic violence through DAIS (Domestic Abuse Intervention Services) in Dane County, and offering legal help to children in various matters.
At Nowlan Injury Law, community engagement is a fundamental principle, and the firm supports its attorneys in contributing both inside and outside the courtroom.
"Evan's commitment to pro bono work says everything about the lawyer he is," stated Senior Partner Steve Caya. "Whether he's representing an injury client or volunteering his time to someone in need, he approaches every case with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help."
The State Bar of Wisconsin's Pro Bono Honor Society highlights attorneys who enhance access to justice by dedicating their time and legal skills to people who might otherwise be unable to obtain legal representation.
