For a manufacturer the size of Stellantis, the difference between a paper-based compliance process and a digital one can be measured in hundreds of hours every month. At the Chrysler Technology Center, that shift has now produced a dramatic reduction in administrative burden, with monthly report compilation dropping from roughly 280 hours to less than one.

The automaker’s fire and life safety inspection workflow previously depended on printed forms and Excel spreadsheets, a system that required field personnel to complete inspections on paper, manually enter results into spreadsheets, and track individual asset schedules. For managers overseeing compliance across multiple sites, getting a clear picture of inspection activity was equally time-consuming.
That challenge was especially acute for Jacob, Stellantis’s fire compliance manager, who needed visibility into facilities where he could not be physically present. Compiling and reviewing reports across locations consumed a substantial amount of time, slowing how quickly information could be gathered and acted upon.
Stellantis chose InspectNTrack’s fire protection inspection software to digitize the process and create a more standardized approach to managing fire and life safety inspections. The rollout began at the Chrysler Technology Center, Stellantis’s headquarters and primary research and design facility, where the two companies worked together to organize assets and sites, develop inspection questions, and configure the platform around the company’s operational needs.
The new system replaced the fragmented paper-and-spreadsheet workflow with centralized safety inspection software, allowing employees to conduct inspections and maintain records in a single system. Actions are timestamped and tied to individual users, providing clearer visibility into when inspections are completed and by whom.
The most striking impact is in reporting. Monthly report compilation that previously required approximately 280 hours now takes less than one, as InspectNTrack’s inspection reporting software generates reports in seconds instead of requiring staff to review individual forms and search for discrepancies.
“Using InspectNTrack is much more efficient than using printed Excel spreadsheets to conduct inspections,” Jacob said.
The platform also gives Stellantis broader visibility across locations through standardized data, customizable dashboards, and report summaries. Inspection records can be organized by asset, while templates can be shared and replicated across facilities. These asset management inspection software capabilities support a more consistent inspection process as the program expands.
The Stellantis rollout is still in its first phase, with implementation focused primarily on Midwest manufacturing plants. InspectNTrack’s scalability and language localization capabilities are designed to support expansion into additional Stellantis operations, including proving grounds, research and development facilities, and locations outside the United States.
For a global manufacturer operating across multiple regions, the shift illustrates the operational value of replacing disconnected manual processes with a centralized inspection system. At the Chrysler Technology Center alone, the change has reduced administrative workload by more than 600 hours each month while giving management quicker access to inspection and compliance information.
InspectNTrack was developed to manage recurring asset inspections, maintenance, and testing. The platform supports inspection scheduling, reporting, customizable workflows, and centralized inspection records for fire and life safety programs and other asset categories.

Why it matters: The efficiency gain at Stellantis underscores how legacy compliance workflows can quietly consume thousands of staff hours across large enterprises. As manufacturers scale operations across regions, centralized digital inspection platforms offer a template for turning regulatory obligations into manageable, data-driven processes that free up personnel for higher-value work.
