SUAL, PANGASINAN , PHILIPPINES, August 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Yanara, a trailblazing renewable energy firm across the Asia-Pacific region, has entered into a collaboration with the Sioasio East Forest Developers Association, Inc. (SEFDAI), a community-based organization with expertise in forest development and protection work, to launch a large-scale tree planting and forest rehabilitation effort in Sual, Pangasinan.
The agreement was cemented through a Memorandum of Agreement signed by Yanara’s subsidiary, Renovable Earth Corp. (REC), with top officials from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Ilocos Region present, highlighting a joint dedication to environmental care, biodiversity preservation, and sustainable community advancement.
Per the agreement, 156,400 seedlings composed of native and fruit-bearing tree varieties will be planted and cared for across a 62.56-hectare plantation area in Barangay Macaycayawan, Sual, adjacent to Yanara’s 69 MWdc Sual Solar Power Plant. This solar facility is being developed in partnership with ACEN, a leading renewable energy firm in the Philippines, and is part of the Department of Energy’s Green Energy Auction Program 4 (GEA-4), a major national effort to fast-track renewable energy adoption.

The plantation establishment project includes a thorough five-year maintenance and protection plan to guarantee the long-term survival and development of the planted seedlings. SEFDAI will take charge of executing plantation establishment and maintenance tasks, covering site preparation, plantation establishment, gap replanting, fire prevention actions, forest protection, and ongoing monitoring, with a target seedling survival rate of at least 85 percent.
