King is marking its 10th anniversary—a milestone that commemorates the decade since attorney Justin H. King launched a small Rancho Cucamonga practice that has since expanded into a three-lawyer, family-run personal injury firm.
Currently, Justin works alongside his brothers, Jonathan L. King and Oliver P. King. “I want to grow; I want to serve more people,” Justin King stated during an anniversary interview. “However, I never want to lose that personal touch.”
That mindset dates back to the firm’s earliest days. When King opened the practice in August 2016, he operated out of a single-room subleased office equipped with a laptop and two chairs for clients. Office calls were forwarded directly to his cell phone, and he managed nearly every part of the practice on his own.
One of King’s first potential clients came following a car accident. His first son had been born the day before, but King left the hospital and drove to a McDonald’s in Upland to meet a prospective client who had been in what he recalls as a fairly minor rear-end collision.
“I was out on my own and I had to hustle,” King said. “I felt like I had to do everything I could to ensure that my new endeavor was successful.”
Car and motor-vehicle accidents remain a significant portion of the firm’s work a decade later, while The Law Offices of Justin H. One element of Justin King’s professional background is his prior work representing defendants before he shifted his focus to injured plaintiffs.
King began his career in plaintiff-side class-action litigation and later worked in insurance defense. According to Super Lawyers, he defended numerous personal-injury cases through trial during that period.
King said that experience gave him insight into how injury claims might be assessed from the defense perspective, including how information flows between defense counsel and insurance carriers and how an insurer’s evaluation may change as evidence develops and a case moves toward trial.

The firm’s automobile-insurance litigation also includes the pending matter Cobos, et al. v. National General Insurance Company, et al., San Bernardino County Superior Court Case No. CIVDS1914609, which was addressed in California Court of Appeal Case No. G063086.
According to the published Court of Appeal opinion, the plaintiffs allege that National General Insurance Company and Integon National Insurance Company improperly denied automobile accident claims and rescinded insurance policies. The Court of Appeal reversed an earlier order denying class certification and sent the matter back for further proceedings.
Per an April 2026 class-certification order issued by the San Bernardino County Superior Court, the court granted class certification and appointed attorneys Justin King and Jonathan King of The Law Offices of Justin H. King as Class Counsel. The case is still pending. According to the court-authorized class notice, the defendants deny the allegations and dispute liability. Trial is currently scheduled for March 1, 2027.
Three Brothers, Different Backgrounds, One Personal Injury Team:
The firm’s growth took another step forward when Justin’s brothers joined the practice.
Jonathan L. King’s background includes complex commercial litigation and extensive courtroom experience. His current firm biography indicates he has litigated 17 jury trials and more than 40 bench trials to verdict.
Oliver P. King’s work encompasses personal injury, mass torts, class actions, and other complex plaintiff-side litigation. He has also served as an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, representing professional athletes in contract negotiations.

Following John Lewis King’s death, members of the regional legal community established the John Lewis King Memorial Scholarship Fund to support Inland Empire law students.
