This painting, titled Persistence, draws inspiration from the indomitable nature of the human spirit. It sets the tension of an oncoming tornado against the carefree joy of a young girl skipping rope, as if no hardship can touch her delight.

As a PLOGIX premier artist, Rodgers has been handpicked by the gallery to be part of their top-tier program. These artists receive exclusive gallery representation, targeted international marketing, and chances to exhibit their work in shows around the world.

The international showcase puts Rodgers' art in front of thousands of visitors at the center of New York City.

NEW YORK CITY, NY, UNITED STATES, August 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — On Friday, August 7, 2026, contemporary artist Lance Rodgers will have pieces from his collection displayed on a large digital billboard in Times Square, New York City—one of the most famous landmarks anywhere in the world.

Presented by Plogix Gallery, Rodgers’ artwork will be shown on the digital screen at 1560 Broadway, between 46th and 47th Streets, directly above the Pelé Store. The exhibit runs for a full 24 hours, with Rodgers’ work appearing at the 17th minute of each hour from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. EDT, giving repeated visibility to the enormous crowds of pedestrians and visitors who move through Times Square daily.

Rodgers, celebrated for his expert contemporary realism and more recently for venturing into emotionally charged abstract expressionism, continues to build a reputation for pieces that encourage viewers to pause, think, and uncover the narratives woven into each work. The Times Square presentation provides a global stage for audiences to encounter his art in one of the most visible public spaces on earth.

“Art starts as a personal statement, but it gains real meaning when it resonates with others,” Rodgers said. “I’m thankful to Plogix Gallery for giving me this chance to present my work in Times Square, where people from all over the world converge. It’s a powerful reminder that creativity knows no limits.”

This digital exhibition is part of Plogix Gallery’s international artist showcase, which features chosen artists on a prominent Times Square billboard throughout the day. Visitors in New York can see the artwork in person, while those who cannot attend can follow the display via a live stream. Professional photos and video footage of the presentation will also be made available after the event.

Rodgers has earned a reputation for producing highly detailed works that combine technical skill with compelling narrative. His evolving portfolio continues to explore both representational and abstract styles, reflecting a career defined by artistic development and a readiness to push boundaries.
