He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California San Diego. Beyond engineering robotic systems for medical, industrial, wearable, and autonomous vehicle applications, he has also been involved in robotics policy and market efforts, including the 2024 United States Robotics Roadmap. His research has been published in top international journals and conferences and has earned the Henry Booker Award for Exemplary Ethical Engineering.
