When a single medical spa books more than 150 appointments in one day — roughly one every four minutes — it signals just how mainstream wrinkle-relaxing injectables have become. That’s exactly the scene set for Wednesday, November 11 at Pittsburgh’s Avere Beauty, a top-1% med spa in the region, as it joins practices nationwide in marking “11s Day,” one of the biggest annual dates in medical aesthetics.

Avere Beauty Fox Chapel Office was built with comfort in mind
Pittsburgh med spa Avere Beauty, a top-1% med spa in Pittsburgh, has one of the biggest days of the year in medical aesthetics.
Also worth a look: Automated cell culture equipment market heads to $4.03B by 2030 as personalized medicine accelerates demand and Behavioral therapy market surges to $240B as mental health demand climbs.
The name “11s Day” comes from the two vertical lines that form between the eyebrows — one of the most common reasons adults book an aesthetic consultation. Held each year on 11/11, the date has grown into a major industry moment, with practices using it to educate patients about treatment options and how to identify a qualified provider. It also kicks off the season’s busiest stretch; Allergan Aesthetics’ BOTOX® Cosmetic Day follows one week later on November 18.
The timing aligns with a surging industry. The American Med Spa Association reports that U.S. med spa revenue has surpassed $17 billion and continues to climb by more than $1 billion annually. In the Pittsburgh area, Avere has expanded to four offices — Lawrenceville, Murrysville, Cranberry and Fox Chapel — with the latter two being its most recent additions.
Avere holds Presidential-level status with Galderma for Dysport® and ranks in the top 1% of both Allergan Aesthetics and Galderma accounts in Pennsylvania.
“11s Day isn’t just about treatments. It’s about community. A med spa is a safe space because it’s medical, but like a salon or gym, people come together to reflect their best self,” said Frank Udavcak, COO of Avere Beauty. “A med spa is a really unique environment. It’s a safe space because it’s medical, but it’s also like any salon: women come in and they’re around other women who are also working on themselves in some way. It’s the same thing guys get at the gym. On a day like this the energy is great, and it’s amazing to see the vibe of everyone who walks in.”
To handle the volume, Avere has scheduled its full team of nurse injectors, providers and patient coordinators across all four locations. Longer appointment blocks are reserved for first-time patients so they can receive a complete consultation without feeling rushed.
The team will also emphasize safety fundamentals throughout the day: injectables should only be performed by licensed medical professionals, under physician oversight, using FDA-approved products.

Why it matters: The record-breaking appointment volume at a single regional med spa underscores how deeply aesthetic treatments have entered mainstream health and wellness routines. As the industry’s revenue climbs past $17 billion, days like 11s Day highlight the growing demand for qualified, medically supervised care — and the business opportunity for practices that can scale to meet it.
