Can we cultivate the insight, ethical strength, and collaboration necessary to harness our expanding intellect for good?
This worldwide compassion challenge runs from September 11–21, 2026, starting with a commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, and ending on the United Nations International Day of Peace.
The initial remembrance will pay tribute to those who perished, those who acted bravely, and everyone still enduring the effects of violence and conflict. It will also provide an opportunity for individuals to unite despite their differences, transforming memory into a fresh dedication to peace.
A Pivotal Moment for Humankind
Artificial intelligence is boosting human capability at a rate that outpaces the growth of human wisdom. Many find it difficult to grasp what AI is, how rapidly it evolves, and whether it will ultimately benefit humanity or inflict more damage.
These worries are legitimate. AI is already reshaping communication, learning, work, governance, warfare, and our understanding of the world. Yet the most profound issue is not purely technological. It is human.
Will we direct these tools to intensify fear, division, control, and brutality? Or can we master the ability to channel intelligence—both human and machine—toward safeguarding life and building a future where everyone can thrive?
11 Days to Prove Peace Is Possible serves as a real-world test in addressing that question.
Instead of leaving the future solely to tech firms, governments, or specialists, this campaign invites individuals, communities, peace advocates, humanitarian groups, civic leaders, educators, youth, technologists, and teams worldwide to get involved.
Together, we will investigate how AI can assist people in connecting with each other, detecting patterns, exchanging information, enhancing collaboration, and making effective peace efforts more visible, linked, and impactful.
Peace in Every Direction
Participants will pursue Peace in Every Direction:
* Inside Out: Cultivating the inner ability to pause, listen, and select a compassionate response.
* Bottom Up: Inspiring people and communities to take kind-hearted action.
* Top Down: Involving leaders and institutions that hold the power to stop violence and promote peace.
* Outside In: Prioritizing affected communities, humanitarian organizations, and those nearest to conflict.
Throughout the 11 days, participants will carry out practical tasks, host discussions, share narratives, produce collaborative media, and feed their insights into a growing Peace Intelligence Commons.
Daily Peace in Progress updates will bring peacebuilding efforts to light by showcasing promising initiatives, developing connections, and lessons drawn from communities across the globe.
Becoming a System of Care
The campaign urges participants to move beyond isolated gestures of concern and explore what becomes achievable when people and groups start operating together as a system of care.
A system of care emerges when we acknowledge our interconnectedness, link our efforts, share what we learn, and prioritize the welfare of the whole—especially the safety and future of children—in our choices.
