Factory training on the latest JD14 and JD18 marine engines, along with tours of four John Deere facilities in Iowa and Illinois, were undertaken by this authorized dealer.

Scarano Marine, an authorized dealer for MAN and John Deere marine engines serving South Florida, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean, took part in the 2026 North American John Deere Marine Dealer Meeting held in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The conference assembled John Deere’s marine dealer network for product education and direct interaction with the manufacturer’s engineering, production, and support teams.

A key highlight of the event was practical training on John Deere’s newest marine powerplants, the JD14 and JD18. These sessions provided dealers with an in-depth understanding of the design, performance traits, and maintenance needs of the latest additions to the John Deere marine lineup—expertise that Scarano Marine brings directly to the yacht owners, captains, and commercial operators it serves across South Florida.

Beyond the training sessions, Scarano Marine visited four John Deere sites during the trip: Waterloo Works in Waterloo, Iowa (the engine manufacturing facility); the Tractor Operations plant in Waterloo; Davenport Works in Davenport, Iowa; and the Parts Distribution Center in Milan, Illinois. These tours gave a firsthand look at how John Deere engines are produced, assembled, and supported through the parts network.

“Observing the construction of these engines and the support system behind them provides an insight that surpasses what any service manual can offer,” said Adolfo Scarano, founder of Scarano Marine. “When a customer’s John Deere engine arrives at our facility, that factory-level knowledge is part of the expertise we apply to the job.”

This trip further solidifies Scarano Marine’s position as a factory-linked, authorized John Deere marine dealer. Manufacturer-level instruction and access to John Deere’s engineering and parts infrastructure set an authorized dealer apart from a standard marine repair facility—especially as newer models such as the JD14 and JD18 come into service, demanding current, factory-accurate expertise for proper maintenance.

Scarano Marine offers sales, maintenance, warranty repairs, diagnostics, and genuine OEM components for John Deere and MAN marine engines throughout South Florida. It has facilities in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, and its mobile service reaches the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Central America.
