Scaling Up names Claire Mula Coach of the Year, honors four more at Dallas summit

When a global coaching network gathers to celebrate its own, the awards handed out reveal what the organization truly values. Scaling Up’s annual Coach Awards, presented October 13 at the Coaches Annual Summit in Dallas, Texas, did exactly that — spotlighting five individuals who, according to leadership, embody the company’s core mission of building mid-market businesses that scale.

DALLAS, TX, UNITED STATES, October 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The recognition comes as Scaling Up, a global business coaching company that helps leaders scale mid-market companies, announced the winners of its annual Coach Awards. The ceremony took place on October 13 at the Coaches Annual Summit in Dallas, Texas, where Claire Mula of Sydney, Australia, took home the top honor as Coach of the Year, alongside four fellow recipients.

“Our coaches are the heart of Scaling Up. These five show what that looks like. They have made our network such a strong, supportive place for everyone. Congratulations to all of them, and thank you,” said Jason Wells, President & COO of Scaling Up.

Coach of the Year Award: Claire Mula
The Coach of the Year Award is reserved for a coach who epitomizes the essence of what it means to be a Scaling Up Coach. Claire Mula of Sydney, Australia, demonstrated significant dedication to the Oceania Confab and CEO Summit and took a leading role in hosting the Oceania Coach calls. According to fellow coaches, Mula elevated the visibility of the Scaling Up brand throughout her region, doing so selflessly and with the collective good in mind.

Commitment to Community Award: Chuck Kocher
The Commitment to Community Award is bestowed upon the coach who best captures the spirit of the community. It is presented in memory of Scaling Up Certified Coach George Morris, known for sharing his time, thinking, and tools with anyone in need. Chuck Kocher of Denver, CO, has mentored and trained hundreds of coaches, lends his expertise in both group sessions and one-on-one settings, and currently serves on the Scaling Up Coach Advisory Board. Fellow coaches note his learner’s mindset and abundance mentality, and say he readily steps in whenever someone asks for help.

Innovator Award: Jeff Donaldson
The Innovator Award celebrates a coach who is expanding the possibilities of what great coaching can achieve. Jeff Donaldson of Boulder, CO, has a passion for exploring the latest technology and tools, and is equally eager to share what works. Fellow coaches describe his AI demonstrations — ranging from meeting summaries to coach training — as game changers in the field.

Make Coaching Fun Award: Brian Keegan
The Make Coaching Fun Award recognizes a coach who proves that meaningful work and enjoyment aren’t mutually exclusive. Brian Keegan of Dublin, Ireland, brings energy to any room he enters, whether at client workshops or gatherings of fellow coaches. One coach affectionately called him “a very cheerful leprechaun.” His humor makes difficult conversations more approachable, and he contributes valuable resources like the Exit Workshop. And yes, he has a goat.

Rising Star Award: Marty King
The Rising Star Award honors a newer member of the community who is already leaving a mark. Marty King of Boca Raton, FL, has shared his AI expertise with fellow coaches early and often, generously dedicating his time to demonstrate what’s possible in their practices and with clients. One coach described his presentations as “truly priceless and game changing.”
