MetaMarket Helps Game Studios Build One Player Relationship Across Multiple Games

MetaMarket has achieved its inaugural cross-game integration spanning three titles and has also inked a second studio agreement in the United States.

When players switch between games, their connection with the studio typically resets. MetaMarket has created a cross-game player platform enabling studios to transfer player identity, loyalty, and rewards across different titles, while each game retains autonomy over its own progression, inventory, and economy.

For studios operating multiple games, establishing this ongoing relationship poses technical challenges. Each title often has a distinct backend, player model, and progression system. Linking them requires constructing an additional layer that comprehends how these disparate systems should interoperate.

MetaMarket supplies that layer. Each game remains independent, yet specific player actions can feed into loyalty and rewards throughout the broader studio portfolio. For instance, an accomplishment in one game might count toward a common loyalty tier or unlock a prize in another title, without granting either game authority over the other’s economy.

MetaMarket’s initial studio project advanced from designing a loyalty model to a fully adopted integration spanning three titles, and it currently resides in a six-month support phase. A second studio based in the U.S. has entered into an agreement covering pre-launch design and a single-title playtest pilot.

The challenge extends beyond merely transferring data between games. Various titles depict players, progression, and value differently. The platform must also decide what is shareable, which game is permitted to initiate a modification, and how that modification can be implemented securely across the entire portfolio.

MetaMarket maintains each game’s systems as distinct entities while converting chosen player actions into a standardized format and enforcing common rules from a central point. This enables studios to have a single ongoing relationship with the player, without needing to combine their games or overhaul every backend to fit a uniform system.

“Transferring an event from one system to another is the straightforward part,” stated Igor Lyubimtsev, CEO of MetaMarket. “The tricky part involves determining what is eligible for sharing, who has permission to alter it, and ensuring those rules function dependably across games constructed with varying approaches. We designed MetaMarket so that a studio can craft a single player relationship across its portfolio while each game continues to operate independently.”

Every new integration contributes reusable event mappings, test procedures, and onboarding processes. This should render future studio connections simpler and quicker.
