Her ongoing leadership has brought notable new accolades in 2026. In April, California Assemblymember Dr. Corey A. Jackson, representing the 60th Assembly District, presented a Certificate of Recognition to Lady Ambassador Dr. Lenora Peterson to mark 10 years of service by Global International Alliance. This recognition celebrated GIA's anniversary event held on April 18, 2026.

Additionally, on April 18, 2026, the Riverside County Board of Supervisors granted a Certificate of Recognition to Ambassador Dr. Lenora Peterson-Maclin, Ph.D. Fifth District Supervisor Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez presented the honor in acknowledgment of her leadership, service, and humanitarian contributions. Leaders of All Nations International (LOANI) also gave Dr. Peterson-Maclin the Soaring Eagle Award, which celebrates inspirational women whose leadership and service uplift communities worldwide.

For nearly four decades, Dr. Peterson-Maclin has employed her voice, faith, education, and leadership to advance the dignity and well-being of others. Her work has encompassed advocacy for human rights, national and community service, humanitarian education, youth development, women's empowerment, veterans issues, chaplaincy, and international relationship-building. Since 2012, she has held an ambassadorial role supporting national community service and the United States President's Volunteer Service initiative. Her international leadership has also involved service with United Nations Women USA, the Commonwealth Entrepreneurs Club, the People's Choice Awards nonprofit organization, and humanitarian networks across the United States, the United Kingdom, Africa, and other regions.

Founded in 2016, Global International Alliance marked its 10th anniversary in 2026. Dr. Peterson-Maclin earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Theology, with study through Luther Rice College & Seminary and The Sure Foundation Theological School, conferred on April 19, 2013. She completed Humanitarian Response to War and Disaster through HarvardX in January 2021. She later finished Harvard online studies in Strategy Execution for Public Leadership in September 2024 and Leadership: Foundational Principles in November 2024. In 2026, she also completed coursework in artificial-intelligence prompting through the University of Georgia. Her professional preparation includes certifications in business consulting, human-rights consulting, humanitarian leadership, and international chaplaincy ministry.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Peterson-Maclin has received numerous awards and accolades. IAOTP previously selected her as Top Global Ambassador and Humanitarian of the Year for 2023, presented her with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024, and honored her with the Presidential Award in 2025 at its annual awards gala at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.

Her additional honors include the 2022 Humanitarian Award, the 2022 Super Hero Award from the United Kingdom, the HERA Award, recognition as an adjudicator for International Women's Day, the 2021 Nelson Mandela Award and Humanitarian Medal, the Princess of Peace Award from LOANI and Future Leaders Entity, and the Leader of World Peace Award. She also received Special Congressional Recognition from the late Congressman John Lewis in 2017 for outstanding and invaluable service to the community and Outstanding Georgia Citizen recognition through the Office of the Georgia Secretary of State in 2016.

Her leadership in education, youth welfare, youth employment, and development was also recognized with the World Youth Summit Outstanding Leadership Award and Global Humanitarian Award. In 2024, Dr. Peterson-Maclin and the GIA program received certificates and honors from U.S. Representative Jay Obernolte, California State Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh, California Assemblymember Tom Lackey, and the Global Society for Female Entrepreneurs.
