A total of 5,092 donations supported 136 organizations during the 24-hour drive, representing CLLCTIVGive’s fourth straight year exceeding one million dollars.

“It’s about what becomes possible when thousands of people acknowledge the leadership that already exists in our communities and decide to pool resources together,”— Jamye WootenBALTIMORE, MD, UNITED STATES, August 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Through CLLCTIVGive, Greater Baltimore contributed $1,363,382 to Black-led organizations on Aug. 7, marking the fourth year in a row that the yearly campaign has brought in over $1 million within a single day.

During CLLCTIVLY’s yearly 24-hour giving event, 4,160 contributors made 5,092 gifts benefiting 136 organizations throughout the area. Out of the 148 groups that were eligible to take part, 92 percent received donations.

Donor involvement increased by 32 percent compared to 2025, when 3,149 donors made 3,977 contributions. The total number of gifts went up 28 percent, and the overall funds raised rose roughly 10 percent from last year’s $1.24 million.

Since its debut in 2019, CLLCTIVGive has evolved from raising $5,500 in its initial year into a region-wide initiative that has exceeded $1 million for four consecutive years.

“CLLCTIVGive is about more than just what we collect in 24 hours. It’s about what becomes possible when thousands of people recognize the leadership that is already present in our communities and choose to move resources together,” stated Jamye Wooten, founder and CEO of CLLCTIVLY. “Baltimore’s Black-led organizations are crafting solutions every single day. Our duty is to make sure they have the capital, connections, and infrastructure required to sustain and expand that work.”

Carmelo Anthony, Kalen Allen, and Sonja Sohn added their voices to CLLCTIVGive, helping to encourage broader participation. Throughout the region, participating groups, contributors, creatives, local businesses, and community allies rallied their networks around a common call to give with intention.

Community events stretched the campaign beyond the online platform. In the morning, donors gathered at Mama Koko’s, Good Neighbor, and Red Emma’s through the Give Back and Your Drink Is on Us activation. The day concluded with GIVE WITH: A CLLCTIVGive Celebration at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, bringing together supporters and participating organizations through music, art, food, and storytelling.

As part of the initiative, CLLCTIVLY distributed $50,000 in prizes to participating groups through fundraising contests, random drawings, and community involvement. The awards helped organizations build energy during the day while offering additional ways for donors to get involved.

The campaign also highlighted the need for ongoing investment beyond just one day. Among the 131 participating groups that completed CLLCTIVLY’s capacity survey, nearly seven out of ten listed fundraising and development as a top priority. Groups also noted ongoing needs in communications, governance, evaluation, operations, financial management, and technology.

These results will help guide CLLCTIVLY’s year-round efforts to expand flexible funding, organizational capacity, shared services, and back-office support across Greater Baltimore’s Black social economy.

From a Day of Giving to Year-Round Investment

CLLCTIVGive is one component of CLLCTIVLY’s larger strategy to strengthen Greater Baltimore’s Black social economy. The campaign makes the range of Black-led work more visible, broadens local giving participation, and directs resources directly to organizations rooted in their communities.

During CLLCTIVGive, CLLCTIVLY also revealed the first recipients of the Kindred Abundance Fund, extending the day’s resource mobilization into a wider, year-round commitment to the capital, capacity, collaboration, and shared infrastructure of community-based groups across Greater Baltimore.

“One day can reveal the power that is already present in our communities,” Wooten said. “The work ahead is to build the systems that allow that power to grow throughout the year.”
