Today, Fasoo AI — a frontrunner in data-centric security and AI-ready data management — unveiled an expanded vision for AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM), extending the scope from AI models and applications to the underlying enterprise data they depend on.

“Building a robust AI security posture requires more than just focusing on models and applications,” stated Jason Sohn, Executive Managing Director at Fasoo AI. “Organizations must also have clear insight into the enterprise data that AI consumes, along with governance that guarantees AI works with accurate and authorized content.”

AI-SPM assists organizations in identifying AI assets, overseeing deployments, and mitigating security risks tied to AI. Yet, numerous enterprises remain unable to verify whether AI is retrieving correct information, leaking confidential data, or producing outputs based on content that is stale, redundant, or lacking proper authorization.

Fasoo AI tackles this data layer through a three-step approach. Initially, it identifies and categorizes sensitive enterprise data, giving organizations insight into what information AI can reach before it enters prompts or retrieval systems.

Next, it enforces AI-aware security policies and automated privacy measures, such as personally identifiable information (PII) protection and de-identification, to block the exposure of confidential data.

Third, continuous access controls make certain that AI adheres to current data permissions, preventing unauthorized information from surfacing in AI-generated answers.
Additionally, Fasoo AI oversees content quality by employing version control, lineage tracking, metadata management, and lifecycle governance — cutting down on duplicate or outdated content that leads to hallucinations and erroneous AI outputs.

“Enterprise AI is only as smart as the data that powers it,” Sohn continued. “That’s precisely why AI-SPM needs to be established on a Data-in-Place basis — data that is correctly classified and governed at its source, rather than merely protected afterward.”
