Wallace Jones served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Naomi Jones, who was valedictorian of her high school, aided the war effort at the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant. Sylvester Mack worked as a cook in the U.S. Navy during World War II, while Gertrude Mack was employed at the Naval Ordnance. Collectively, they stood for a generation that gave immensely to their nation, their loved ones, and the future they aimed to build.
