Small enterprises form the backbone of the American economy. Over 98 percent of retail businesses across the U.S. have fewer than 50 employees. Amplifying the voice of small businesses is essential for both the economy and the nation’s identity”— YoColorado Founder BradMillerGOLDEN, CO, UNITED STATES, July 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — YoColorado, a Colorado venture recognized for its daring, vintage-inspired outdoor clothing, revealed today that co-founder Brad Miller has been named by the National Retail Federation (NRF) as one of 50 America’s Retail Champions and also as one of a mere five finalists for the esteemed NRF Rising Star Award.

Miller will stand for Colorado during the organization’s flagship advocacy gathering, the 2026 NRF Retail Advocates Summit, taking place in Washington, D.C. from July 14 to 16. This Summit, convened every two years in election cycles, unites retailers and policymakers to forge connections, deliberate on crucial policy matters, and honor retail’s influence on the U.S. economy and local communities.

“As the country commemorates 250 years of entrepreneurship and innovation, small businesses stay at the core of the American economy,” stated Miller. “More than 98 percent of U.S. retail operations have fewer than 50 people on staff. Giving a voice to small businesses is important because we not only
help propel our nation’s economy, but we also contribute personality, character, and a feeling of community to the places we call home. I am honored to represent Colorado and independent retailers, and to push for policies that will shape the future prosperity of small enterprises.”

The America’s Retail Champions initiative acknowledges small-business retailers who serve as outstanding advocates for retail and the communities they operate in. Delegates were chosen based on exceptional leadership, community involvement, and their efforts in championing the retail sector. As Colorado’s delegate, Miller will join fellow retail leaders in conversations with national lawmakers regarding issues that impact small businesses, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, and Main Street communities around the country.

Retailers were put forward by state retail associations and industry peers for their leadership and dedication to public policy advocacy. This year, 50 retailers
representing 27 states were chosen as America’s Retail Champions. Additional details on the 2026 America’s Retail Champions program and a complete list of honorees can be found here.
