ADAG launches nonprofit to cover admission costs for auto tech training events

As vehicles become rolling computers packed with electrified drivetrains and advanced driver-assistance systems, the technicians who repair them face a mounting challenge: staying trained on the latest technology without breaking the bank. That financial squeeze is exactly what a new Florida nonprofit aims to address.

Advanced Digital Automotive Group (NASDAQ:ADAG) has officially launched the HAT Foundation, a nonprofit registered in Florida with a focused mission: help automotive technicians access aftermarket training expos and educational events by covering their admission costs. CLEARWATER, Fla. — October 2026 — Advanced Digital Automotive Group (ADAG) has announced the formation of the HAT Foundation, a Florida nonprofit dedicated to expanding automotive technicians’ access to industry education. The initiative will help those who cannot afford admission to automotive aftermarket expos and educational events continue developing their skills.
The foundation addresses a growing need for continuing education as vehicle technology becomes increasingly complex. Today’s automotive professionals must stay current with electrified drivetrains, advanced driver assistance systems, vehicle networks, and evolving diagnostic procedures. Reducing financial barriers can make these essential learning opportunities more accessible.
Donations from individuals and businesses will cover admission costs at participating events, helping qualified applicants pursue valuable learning opportunities. Donors may also designate a specific trade show or exposition for their contribution. Event organizers, rather than the foundation or its donors, will review applications and select recipients independently, ensuring that HAT Foundation support reaches technicians seeking professional development.
Among the events and organizations identified for support are VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo, the Automotive Service & Tire Alliance, TOOLS, and the SEMA Show. Together, they provide opportunities for technical instruction, hands-on learning, and industry engagement.
Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, the HAT Foundation is led by Executive Director Paul Donahue alongside officers Nick Tomoff and Matthew Schwarz. The nonprofit accepts contributions from individuals and corporate supporters.

A Message From the Owner
“The HAT Foundation is designed to help more automotive technicians reach the training opportunities they need. By supporting access to respected training events, we can help remove a financial barrier without taking the selection process away from the organizations that know their training communities best,” said Paul Donahue, founder of Advanced Digital Automotive Group and executive director of the HAT Foundation.
